# Roman's Game

> Roman's Game is a free, kid-friendly logic puzzle game that runs in the browser (phone, tablet or computer). No account, no sign-up and no download are needed: open the link and play. Place one cute buddy in every colored region, row and column, and never let two buddies touch, not even diagonally.

## How to play
- The board is a square grid (5x5 up to 8x8) split into colored regions.
- Put exactly one buddy in every colored region, every row and every column.
- Buddies may not touch each other, not even at the corners (diagonally).
- Swipe to paint quiet x marks on squares that cannot hold a buddy; tap a mark to place a buddy.
- Three mistakes cost a heart. Hints are available (coins or free hints). Undo is always there but costs score points.
- Every board has exactly one solution, so it is pure logic, no guessing.

## Ways to play
- Levels: 20 handcrafted boards, easy to expert, with 1 to 3 stars each (finish, beat the target time, then a high score with no undos).
- Daily Challenge: one new board every day; the first try counts for your streak.
- Remix boards: a set of four new boards (5x5, 6x6, 7x7, 8x8) every 3 days at midnight Toronto time. The same boards for everyone, so friends can compare times.
- Endless mode and Random boards: unlimited freshly generated boards at any size.
- Roman's Trial: unlocked with 3 stars on a board; race the clock with 2 hearts and no undo.
- Challenge links: share a board and a time with a friend to beat.
- Buddies: collect and care for animal buddies (Lupa the wolf pup, Aquila the eagle, Leo the lion cub, Invictus the war horse, Nox the owl). A short Buddy Parade shows up between boards.
